Money Saving Wednesday..More with Makana…Secret Identity…On Air Tonight

I am finally home. First it was wonderful to see so many of you at the EXPO and thank you for all your kind comments. Second, if you ordered a subscription your free first year of the newsletter and the Nov. issue will be in your email inbox today. I buried the info when packing up and need to unbury it today but I have not forgotten you. Third, I found so many interesting people and really great products at the show and I will begin sharing that information tomorrow. I have now found the most awesome grain mill on the planet! You will love this! Last but not least I will be speaking with Doctor Prepper tonight on his show so tune in to hear my adventures and why I missed my own show last night! Dr. Prepper show 6:00pm Pacific time!

Now for Makana…

Couponing, as I well know, can be time consuming and intimidating. I hope that these next series of posts will guide you to embracing the world of couponing with ease.

The first step is to set up a new identity. What do I mean? If you are like me, my inbox seems to always be full. I simply do not have time to sift through spam, nor do I ever want to. So, just create a new email account. There are many options out there; Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail…. its endless really. I prefer to have a different carrier for my secret identity for various reasons but I know people that use gmail or yahoo for both accounts.
Why set up a secret identity? To maximize your savings without filling up your personal email with all that junk! For example, subscribing to other coupon websites, store emails, and manufacturer websites will save you money because they will send you special offers with discounts or high-value coupons. This is what you want. But you will also get newsletters, announcements etc… which is most likely what you do not want. At least I don’t. I just check my secret identity email once a day or once every two days to b sure I am getting all the deals that are out there.
Ok, recap folks. The first step is to set up an alternate email account. Then you will want to visit your favorite brands online and sign up for their email list. That’s it. Now you are one step closer to being a pro. And for the more adventurous of you out there, go ahead and surf the web for coupon websites/blogs in your area and subscribe to the daily emails. While you are at it, don’t neglect your local grocery store. You can get money saving coupons from them as well.

Happy Saving!
