There are very predictable sales every month of the year. March is no exception. With Christmas and Valentines Day behind us and Mothers Day still weeks away retailers attempt to clear out old inventory so your will purchase the new for that next big gift giving day. Now is the time to cash in on the deals.
Frozen foods: March is National Frozen Foods Month. Of course this tip needs to come first as it is the perfect time to stock up your General Store. All the items we add this month will be foods available in both canned and frozen varieties so you can take advantage of these cost savings. Now is the time to look through the newspaper and magazines and on line for coupons to help you save even more. Take a few minutes each day to search for coupons for frozen foods and you will not have to spend hours later or miss out on the savings.
China and Flatware are other items you can purchase inexpensively now. Don't wait to get those wedding announcements or to add to a service for a family member this Christmas. Purchase items now and set them aside.
Garden Supplies are on sale now also. It's time to start those seeds indoors. Seeds are on sale as is potting soil and even tools. Get out those tools from last year, clean them up, and determine which need to be replaced.
Winter items of all kinds are bargain prices this month. Coats, sweaters, scarves, even socks, sporting goods, sports accessories and snow shovels are all marked down. Again, think gifts. If you have an avid skier or snow boarder on your list consider how you could add to their supplies or if a child, plan for their growth before next season. They will love you on Christmas morning. Now is the time to stock up on clothing for your family for next winter and again consider what clothing gifts you could purchase now.
Chocolate prices are going up. After Easter is a great time to stock up but there are also still some Valentine candies which are now 90% off. Check wherever you shop for a cart of huge mark downs. Chocolate will store well.
